About NPO法人クラリコについて

2020年に始まったコロナ禍で海外へ気軽に行くことが難しくなり、自分自身も中学3年生からの留学を一時中断しました。どうにもできないこの悔しさを経験した後、幸い渡米を再開できた自分に何かできることはないか？と思ったとき、「日本にいる小学生・中学生・高校生のみなさんに、日本にいながら海外に目を向けるきっかけを作りたい！」この思いから2022年1月にNPO法人クラリコを立ち上げました。10代の目線で見たアメリカの文化や生活、日本とアメリカの違いなどについて動画で紹介しながら、日本の学校のみなさんとアメリカ在住の私をオンラインで繋ぎ、交流しています。また、日本に長期休暇で帰国している際は、実際に学校を訪問し、日本の学生さんに直接お会いする形でアメリカの学校生活紹介や、ポジティブ思考で夢に向かう自らの体験談を基にしたキャリア教育講話をしています。同時進行でオンラインによる英会話授業や、将来的には留学支援を目的としたクラウドファンディングを始める予定です。

クラリコ（clarico）はラテン語で「輝く」という意味です。クラリコは、世界で輝ける国際人育成の種まきをしていきます。

In 2020, COVID-19 made it difficult for people to go abroad, and I also had to come back to Japan from the American boarding school I was studying in. There stood the geographical barrier that prevented me from international interactions and constant opportunities to use English. Then, fortunately, I was able to start studying in the U.S. again. After my experience in Japan during the pandemic, I began to hope to make international experiences more accessible for other students living in Japan and finally established Nonprofit Organization Clarico. From the perspective of a Japanese teenager, I introduce different cultures and lifestyles from the U.S. through videos and virtual live interactions with schools in Japan. In addition, when I return to Japan during summer and winter breaks, I physically visit schools and give speeches on international topics and career education. At the same time, I am making an online system where people in Japan can practice talking in English with English speakers. In the future, I am planning to organize crowdfunding that financially helps more students to study abroad. 'Clarico' means 'to shine' in Latin. We, Clarico, are empowering people to shine internationally in the future.
